Cloud services - a case study from Hafslund nett

Ståle Heitmann, Seniorutvikler Hafslund

Hafslund Nett is transforming itself from a pure buyer of software to building its own for core business processes, and it is going from a company with its own on premise data center to a user of cloud services wherever possible. In this talk Ståle will focus on Hafslund's efforts to collect and store data from various sources in order to use it in integration scenarios as well as for reporting and analytics. Technologies that will be covered include Azure Event Hub, Sesam Datahub, and Azure SQL Data Warehouse. We will also have a look at the types of technologies that Hafslund is looking into when thinking about how to evolve its operations in the future.

About Ståle:
Ståle has many years of experience working with software development and architecture. He is especially interested in all things having to do with patterns, practices and methodologies helping to improve the quality of software at the code level, and how such practices may help to build robust and performant architectures on a larger scale.
