Marco Russo: Inside Power Query

Marco Russo is back in Norway and we are happy to announce that he will present Inside Power Query for SQL Server User Group Norway on Monday December 1st at 18:00 at Teknologihuset!

We will provide food and drinks, so please make sure you register here.

Featured Presentation:

Inside Power Query

Marco Russo, Consultant SQLBI

Power Query is a fundamental component of Microsoft Power BI. It extracts and transforms data from heterogeneous data sources, storing results in Excel and Power Pivot data models. This session shows in detail the features of Power Query. After a description of the architecture, you will see the available connectors, and then the transformations available in the user interface. Finally, you will learn how to implement transformations that are more complex by using the “M” language. The goal of this session is providing technical insights about Power Query, but without requiring a previous experience on this product. However, you will benefit of testing the tool before attending the session, just to be already familiar with the user interface.

About Marco:
Marco is a Business Intelligence consultant and mentor. He worked with Analysis Services since 1999, and wrote several books about Power Pivot, Power BI, Analysis Services Tabular, and the DAX language. With Alberto Ferrari, he writes the content published on www.sqlbi.com, mentoring companies’ users about the new Microsoft BI technologies. Marco is also a speaker at international conferences such as Microsoft Data Insights, PASS Summit, Microsoft Ignite, and SQLBits.
